5 minutes to pour words out in a stream of consciousness, or in my case, today as a conversation.
Thank you for coming HERE today…a great word of inspiration that has also taught me a lesson. Seems like most days God is using Pule to teach me…ahem. Okay God, I think I’m beginning to get it. Always will be Far From Perfect. Right?
5 Minutes on the word HERE
Start:
A few minutes have passed
I don’t hear anything
She is at the age for a bit more independence
The silence is deafening
Ok, time to find her
First, we do the test:
“Pule?“
silence
“Pule? Where are you?“
silence
darn it…she is not passing the test
“Pule? Please answer MaMMa“
I really want her to pass the test. Hasn’t she learned anything?
Ok, just one more time, then I will go find her…
“Pule? Where are you? What are you doing?”
“HERE MAMMA! I’M HERE!”
Oh good!
It’s a start. Doesn’t tell me WHAT she is doing but, that she can still tell me “HERE”.
I’ve simply asked for a response and I got that.
It does make me stop to think about God.
“Leah? Where are you?
I’m waiting for you
I want to talk to you
I’ll be HERE all day when you are ready.
Will we talk today?
I have some special words just for you
I want to spend time with you.
I’ll be HERE when you are ready.”
Thank you Lord for always being HERE, right where I am.
Pule did pass the test, but I did, not today.
STOP

He thinks of us and asks of us so much like we do of our own kids… such a great illustration and reminder for me today. I did not pass today either.

I used to pound myself into the ground for not passing, but it doesn’t do any good. Each morning I receive my new cup filled with grace and mercy.
This is a great 5mf post! I love the fact that you told an entire story in such a short time. What was she doing anyway?

Hah! So glad you asked. She was playing in a very large gift bag and putting her blanket over the top of it. The picture represented the story although it was not the current situation I was writing about (shhh…don’t tell anyone. I’m sure no one else does that.)
Such beautiful insight. And a great photo. Thanks for sharing.
Happy Sharefest!

Thanks Miss Robin, appreciate your stopping by.
Now that’s a good test! Being “here” is an important thing, isn’t it? Thanks for the reminder!
