Embracing the challenges & blessings of a blended & bicultural Samoan family

quickly touching base, praying for our city on fire

I was planning on doing a bit of catch up this past weekend on my blog as I have some new posts started, however things changed dramatically around here on Saturday.  I live in Colorado Springs and our city is in burning.

There are so many things I could put on here:

What the greatest need is

How many homes are burned

Facts & figures

But, until we know more it is hard to nail these things down.  We are hoping to learn a lot more today.  The most important thing right now is to Pray.

Pray for those who are evacuated (32,000+)

Pray for the firefighters and entire team for wisdom, strength, energy, diligence (1000+)

Pray for our health

Pray for cooler temps & high humidity (NO WIND)

When accurate information is available and I am in a better place to communicate that I will do so.   I have been offline from reading any blogs or on social media, so I am not in tune with other bloggers and their posts about the fires.

As soon as the photo credit is found I will update that here, Colorado Springs June 26, 2012
